Staff Profiles: Olivia

Olivia is one of our favorite college students and toy experts. She has been a part of the Momo's Tree House team for almost 2 years! Read on to hear about her life in and out of Momo's.

You grew up in Boston, MA. What's the biggest difference between Boston and Philly?
I love both cities so much! They both are very historical and have great architecture. I would have to say the biggest difference is that people in Philly are much more friendly and open to talking to new people, which is lovely! But, I have to say that one clearly has better sports teams than the other...
What do you like best about Philly?
My favorite thing about Philly is how walkable the city is. I love exploring different parks and neighborhoods of the city.
What's your favorite part about working at Momo's?
I love helping customers find the perfect gifts and making their shopping experience easy and fun. I also really enjoy the community events that we participate in.
What's your favorite Momo's toy and why?
Rat-a-Tat Cat is a favorite of mine. It is the perfect card game to play in large groups, especially with people of many different ages.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of selling toys?
I love to sing and I am majoring in musical theater.
Have you been in theater productions in Philadelphia?
Yes! I have been a part of a few productions at the Arden and also the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
We heard you make an appearance in the upcoming remake of Little Women. Tell us more!
That was an awesome experience. I honestly don't know much, but the movie comes out on Christmas Day and I'll have to wait until then to see if I ended up on the cutting room floor or not!
Halloween is coming up! Do you plan on dressing up?
Absolutely! You are never too old to dress up for Halloween! Personally, I am a big fan of group costumes.
One of our favorite fall traditions is Old City Fest! Can you tell us a little bit about the event?
Old City Fest is definitely a favorite of mine. This year it's on Sunday, October 13th, and we'll have a table for activities. There are always super fun performances too, and it's a lot of fun for both kids and adults.
